How to Choose the Right Unit Size

When looking for the right size storage unit, it is important to consider what you will be storing. Typical storage units can be as small as a closet or big enough to house a seasonal vehicle like a boat or RV. Every size exists in between. This article will explain what each potential size can typically hold so that the most informed decision can be made about what is most needed.

A 5x5 unit is the size of a closet. It can fit a mattress, dresser and some small boxes.

5x10 spaces can hold the furnishings of a medium-sized bedroom, including a queen-sized bed.

5x15 units can hold the contents of a bedroom with a queen sized bed and dresser, furniture and medium to large boxes.

10x10 spaces are half the size of a standard one car garage and can hold the contents of two bedrooms or one family room.

10x15 is slightly smaller than a one-car garage and can accommodate the contents of up to three bedrooms.

10x20, 10x25 and 10x30

10x20 is the size of a one car garage, which means that these sizes are large enough to accommodate seasonal vehicles if vehicle storage is offered.
